Second woman robbed at knife-point while sitting in car in Kirkcaldy

Police are appealing for witnesses after the brazen thief opened the passenger door and grabbed the woman’s handbag while she sat in the driver’s seat in Fife, making it the second incident in as many days.

A woman has been left distressed after a man robbed her at knife point while she sat in her car in Kirkcaldy yesterday.

The woman was in the driver’s seat with her handbag on the passenger seat, when the shameless thief opened the door and made off with the bag. The incident occurred on Rosslyn Street at approximately 4.40pm.

The suspect was brandishing a knife, wearing a woollen mask and made off on a red mountain bike.

He is described as a male in his mid-20s, 5’8” tall, slim build, scruffy unshaven, wearing black coloured tracksuit bottoms with green stripes down either leg and a dark coloured hooded top.
