A homeless man was asked to leave the Buchanan Street shop by staff, who then binned all the products the man had touched.
A Facebook post has gone viral after a man described how Starbucks staff asked a paying customer to leave the store, simply for being homeless.
Ed Cheung wrote that he visited the coffee shop between 7.45-8.15pm on Thursday night when the incident occured.
After Starbucks confirmed the incident, Ed described how the man was in the queue, waiting to pay for food he had picked up. There he was approached by a member of staff who asked him to step out of the line and walked him to the door.
Ed said the staff member then walked back to the display and binned the sandwich the man had been intending to buy.
